FACT First Look: Novikov Café Muscat makes its Oman debut

The Mediterranean brasserie opens on Saturday, 1 June.

Over a decade into its operations, Novikov is still one of the most celebrated culinary spots in Mayfair – and London as a whole – so it was only a matter of time before an outpost landed in Oman. Taking up residence at The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort, Novikov Café Muscat will open on Saturday, 1 June, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in a relaxing and chic ambience.

Novikov Café Muscat marks the brand’s debut in Oman, offering a French meets Mediterranean brasserie anchored around fresh ingredients. Inspired by Executive Chef Marco Lubian, the recipes revolve around wood coal cooking that offers a modern take on French techniques as well as Asian culinary traditions, utilising the abundance of ingredients available in Oman to create dishes that are deliberately detailed and delicious. Novikov Café Muscat’s signature dishes include Burrata, Lobster Linguine with King Crab Leg and Novikov Wagyu Tacos.

An à la carte menu and seasonal set menu aside, Novikov Café Muscat also offers a variety of drinks that range from speciality coffees and Jing teas to specially curated smoothies and mojitos.

The Novikov Café concept is all about challenging the animated ambience of the bistro through intimate layouts, artistic furniture, and welcoming moments induced by the innovative open kitchen. Bonus: those views of the Arabian Gulf from its terrace.

Our aim is to provide guests with an unforgettable dining experience that resonates with the essence of sophistication and culinary excellence.”

The launch of a premier dining destination in Oman’s food and beverage market for the summer of 2024, in partnership with Pinskiy&Co, represents a strategic expansion for Novikov International, one of the leading restaurant chains in the world. 

In 2011, the flagship Novikov restaurant opened in London’s Mayfair. Now, it can be found across the world in Dubai, Miami, Porto Cervo, Doha, Moscow, Baku, Jeddah, Alula, Istanbul, Bodrum. The celebrity clientele includes boxer Anthony Joshua, singer Justin Bieber, tennis star Novak Djokovic and Olympic champion Usain Bolt. The restaurant was created by Arkadiy Novikov, who hails from Moscow and currently owns more than 300 restaurants.
