From the moment we arrived at Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa, we were captivated by its idyllic setting. Nestled in the Lhaviyani Atoll, the resort is surrounded by crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches, creating a perfect backdrop for a tranquil escape. The welcoming staff, with their warm smiles and attentive service, set the tone for a memorable stay.

The Water Villa

As we stepped into our water villa, we were greeted by an interior that felt both exotic and familiar. The vibrant pink walls instantly transporting us to the bohemian vibes of Tulum, adding a playful yet sophisticated touch to the decor.

The spacious layout of the villa allowed for an uninterrupted flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces, making the most of the stunning ocean views. Every detail, from the handwoven textiles to the curated art pieces, was thoughtfully chosen to create a unique and inviting atmosphere.

One of the most enchanting features of the water villa was the bathtub with an ocean view.

A Culinary Adventure 

Our stay was not only a feast for the eyes but also a culinary delight that surpassed all expectations. The resort’s dining options are exceptionally diverse, offering a range of experiences that cater to every palate. From casual poolside bites to refined fine dining, each restaurant promises a memorable gastronomic journey. 

Breakfast at Turquoise was a delight every day. Thanks to its eclectic and expansive menu. The choices were unbelievable, featuring everything from congee with toppings, curries and stews, omelettes and dim sum to French patisseries. This eclectic mix ensured that no two breakfasts were the same, making every morning an exciting culinary adventure.

Velaa Bar + Grill provided a perfect setting for relaxed, family-friendly dining. The menu at Velaa was wonderfully varied, featuring everything from fresh seafood to gourmet burgers. The ability to dine while enjoying the poolside and sea views added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.

For those seeking a more refined dining experience, Tabemasu offers an air of exclusivity from the moment you step in. The seven-course Teppanyaki Omakase menu is a culinary journey curated by the chef. Each course was a masterpiece, prepared with precision and presented with flair.

The evening began with a course of seared scallops and they were nothing short of perfection. The scallops were tender and succulent, served with a light, tangy sauce and some caviar that enhanced their natural taste. Next came the king prawns paired with a garlic-butter sauce, each bite was a burst of umami, leaving us eager for the next course. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Wagyu beef.

The chef cooked the beef to perfection, achieving a sublime medium-rare doneness that showcased its rich flavour and unparalleled tenderness. 

Spa Experience 

One of the most memorable highlights was the serene 60-minute couple’s treatment at the resort’s spa. Our treatment began with a relaxing foot bath, which cleansed and prepared us for the massage. The gentle lapping of the waves and the sight of tropical fish gliding gracefully below us set a calming tone. We then transitioned to the full-body massage, where skilled therapists used a blend of techniques tailored to our specific needs, from gentle kneading to deep tissue work.

This was not just a spa treatment; it was a shared journey into relaxation and serenity, making our stay at the resort even more memorable.

Dolphin Sunset Cruise 

During our enchanting stay at Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa, we experienced a truly magical evening on a dolphin sunset cruise. This unforgettable adventure, complete with sparkling champagne and an incredible display of dolphins, became one of the most cherished memories of our trip.

There were dozens of them, including adorable baby dolphins, creating a mesmerizing and joyful spectacle. Watching these intelligent and playful creatures in their natural habitat was an awe-inspiring experience.

The champagne added a touch of celebration to the evening, making it even more special. The gentle sway of the boat, the sparkling water, and the playful dolphins created an atmosphere of pure joy and wonder.

The memories of the dolphins, the sunset, and the moments we enjoyed together will remain with us forever. It was a magical experience that encapsulated the essence of our dream vacation at Le Méridien Maldives, leaving us with memories that we will treasure for a lifetime.
